Garrett is a native Texan from Decatur and at an early age of about three years old, Garrett picked up his first guitar and he hasn’t stopped playing since. He is now doing what he loves most, making music. His discography includes a variety of genres including Country/Americana, Western, Rock and even some Instrumentals for those who just want to hear a melody.
Garrett’s music is immensely influenced by the outdoors mostly... and artists such as Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Grateful Dead and Led Zeppelin, to name a few. Making his music a perfect mix for those seeking something unique. His exceptional guitar playing skills accentuate his music, truly making it a genre of its own. Garrett has played numerous Honky Tonks and Stages throughout Texas such as Shiner Brewery and SeaWorld in San Antonio and spent some time in Nashville. Shortly after arriving, he decided to head back home to Texas. Garrett Kirk has shared the stage with Marcy Grace, Logan Ryan, Stephen Martin and many more Texas Country/Americana musicians.
Garrett Kirk also works as a studio guitarist for not only his own company, Batcave Records, but also Black Light Studios. He has created rhythm and lead tracks for multiple genre artists. These include hip hop artists such as: , Joe Weed, Levi Dry, GT Garza, Lester Roy, Y.T. Amaya, I Am Cricchi, Jefe Rich, Hippy Doug, Hollywood2020, Fatal plus many more. Of course, Garrett has played for country artists Riggin Skoberg and Stephen Martin.
