Garrett Kirk is a Texas-born musician with an unmistakable sound that blends the raw authenticity of Country, Americana, and Western music with the energy of Rock. Hailing from Decatur, Texas, Garrett first picked up a guitar at the age of three, and from that moment, music has been his lifelong passion. Over the years, he has developed a unique style that is deeply influenced by both the rugged outdoors and his musical heroes, such as Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Ray Wylie Hubbard, and the Grateful Dead.
Garrett’s music isn’t just a reflection of his love for the craft — it’s a reflection of his lifestyle. Raised in a family that embraced the outdoors, Garrett’s sound is shaped by the same values that drive his adventurous spirit: grit, authenticity, and a deep connection to nature. Though his journey took him to Nashville for a time, Garrett’s roots are firmly planted in Texas, where his passion for his craft continues to grow. Throughout his career, he has shared the stage with fellow Texas musicians such as Marcy Grace, Logan Ryan, and Stephen Martin, further cementing his place in the Texas Country/Americana scene.
In addition to his solo work, Garrett Kirk is a respected studio guitarist, collaborating with his own label, Batcave Records, and Black Light Studios. He has contributed rhythm and lead guitar tracks across various genres, working with a wide range of artists, including hip-hop musicians like Bubba Sparxxx, Joe Weed, Levi Dry, and GT Garza, as well as country acts such as Riggin Skoberg and Stephen Martin.
